Mathaisemarkt-Boxen 2019 mit Fenerbahçe

Der Boxverband Baden-Württemberg berichtet über den bevorstehenden Kampf auf dem Mathaisemarkt 2019. Unsere Boxer von Fenerbahçe werden zurückst am 8. März 2019 in der BC-Halle in Wangen im Allgäu antreten. Das große Spektakel findet dann am 10. März 2019 im Festzelt auf dem Mathaisemarkt statt. Beginn ist 10 Uhr.

Hier der Bericht des BVBW:

„Schriesheim. Die 44. Box-Matinee im beheizten Mathaisemarkt-Festzelt steigt am Sonntag, 10. März, beim KSV in Schriesheim. Die Kämpfe beginnen pünktlich um 10.30 Uhr. Das internationale Team mit Gästen aus der Schweiz und aus der Faustkampfsparte des türkischen Klubs Fenerbahce Istanbul misst sich mit einer Auswahl aus dem Box-Verband Baden-Württemberg (BVBW).

Zum zweiten Mal nach 1996 sollen türkische Elite-Boxer und U18-Junioren in die Weinstadt an der Bergstraße reisen. Dafür zeichnet der als KSV-Kampfrichter des gastgebenden Kraft-Sport-Vereins (KSV) bekannte Okan Sezer mitverantwortlich. Schon seit längerem unterstützt Sezer den KSV-Boxchef Werner Kranz (72), der diese Matinee 1975 „erfunden“ hat, bei der aufwendigen Organisation.

„Der Fenerbahce-Fanclub Heidelberg unterstützt uns“, erklärt Sezer. Als besonderen Gast hat Sezer die britische Sängerin, Musikerin und Schauspielerin Aino Laos gewonnen: „Sie kommt für die Nationalhymne zum Auftakt und Songs in der Kampfpause in den Ring“, kündigt Sezer eine bekannte Größe im Musik- und Showgeschäft an.

Erstmals kommt auch Ringsprecher Hermann „The Voice“ Czujan aus dem bayrischen Straubing, der schon viele Deutsche Meisterschaften und internationale Box-Galas moderiert hat, nach Schriesheim. Fans der Sportart, die schon einmal bei einem boxerischen Erststart internationaler Mathaisemarkt-Gäste am Bodensee dabei waren, kennen Czujan von mehreren Länderkämpfen her.

Dass diese Events bislang oft zwei Tage vor dem Schriesheimer Zweitstart in Wittenhofen stattfanden, hängt mit BVBW-Präsident Uwe Hamann (Salem) zusammen. „Die Vergleichskämpfe in Schriesheim geben unseren Athleten zu einem frühen Zeitpunkt im Jahr, das heißt vor den großen Aufgaben wie Europa- und Weltmeisterschaften, wertvolle Gelegenheit, sich mit starken Gegnern zu messen und ihren Standort zu bestimmen“, sagt Hamann. Diesmal findet der Erststart am Freitag, 8. März, 19.30 Uhr, in der BC-Halle in Wangen im Allgäu statt.

„Wir haben auch wieder Nummerngirls dabei, um jeweils die nächste Kampfrunde anzuzeigen“, kündigt Kranz ein weiteres Detail des Spektakels in Schriesheim an, dass ihm und Sezer als Organisatoren vorschwebt. Tickets an der Tageskasse kosten nach wie vor 10 Euro.“
